When it comes to the horror genre, domestic producers have been know to turn out some very disturbing content. But most of these films pale in comparison to what has come off the foreign stage. That is such the case with "Baskin," which is a Turkish horror film, according to Deadline.

The film actually debuts this year at the Toronto International Film Festival and has caused quite a few waves with its grotesque level of violence and depravity. But it is the trailer that is likely to give you a few nightmares as well.

The film centers around five policemen who are working the graveyard shift in an undisclosed town. They are summoned to follow up on a call that leads them to the middle of nowhere. This of course leads them down a "Texas Chainsaw" style of events that unfold with total terror and frightening sequences.

The area is a littered with cult activity, and the labyrinth they are in holds nothing but ominous promise for the men as they navigate their way through it. The brave men call for backup, but it never arrives.

It takes on a hellish presence soon after their arrival and the brave men push their way through, seeking to help those in need despite the terrors that unfold.

The cultist den that they eventually get entangled in soon reveals the bloody carnage that was left before them and they must now fight at all odds to stay alive. The film unfolds like a series maddening sequences that soon become incomprehensible to the characters.

Terror and horror are the main draw for this film, but it also clearly displays a visceral authenticity that carries audiences into a nauseating sense of doom that last long after the credits roll.

TIFF takes place Sept. 10-20. Watch the trailer below to see what all the buzz is about.
