Many people have heard of "jail breaking" an iPhone or iPad app to get free rewards or access to otherwise "ocked"options. The most recent jail break capability seems to be dealing with Snapchat and the ability for users to save a log of all the photos sent and received -- something which critics argue totally defeats Snapchat's unique purpose as an app.

Users can jail break their Apple products by going to www.evasi0n.com and it's pretty simple from there on. Some of this may seem immoral or potentially exploiting of people's privacy, especially when looking at the Snapchat example. Have you ever jail broken an Apple product?

Reports say that Snapchat actually keeps a database of all the photos and videos that are sent by users and has full rights to sell them as they see fit. That is already kind of intimidating and might give you a reason to think twice about using the app, but what if regular people could save pictures of you? Granted, you would have to send the picture to them in the first place.

New technology can easily break the privacy barriers, so if the idea of people saving Snapchat photos scares you, then it's probably time to be more careful with your internet activity. Similar to Facebook, it's probably time to start paying attention to those privacy settings.

This hack or tweak is from Cydia -- readers can Google the name and find out plenty of info -- and is relatively inexpensive to buy, considering the capabilities of the hack.

What are your thoughts on this new jail break option? Are you surprised that something like this exists? Some might find it a little scary but not at all surprising, considering that people would create a tweak to exploit a popular app, especially when there are ill-gotten gains to reap.
