English rock band Black Sabbath is finally calling it quits after years of making heavy metal music. But the group hopes to end their career with a bang and has decided to have one final tour in 2016 called "The End."

The "final tour from the greatest metal band of all time" will begin on Jan. 20 in the U.S. and will head to Canada as well as Australia and New Zealand, reported Billboard.

Reports of a new Black Sabbath album and tour began swirling in 2014 when frontman Ozzy Osbourne told Metal Hammer that his band was planning to record more songs and tour for one more time.

The 66-year-old singer revealed that, initially, the group did not think it was the best idea. However, the trio, composed of Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, thought about it and decided that if they would hit the studio again, it better be soon as they were no longer young, and Iommi was battling cancer.

The three original members will be part of the tour. However, drummer Bill Ward is not expected to join the group for the last time. Osbourne and the drummer had a falling out due to "inaccurate statements" the frontman made about Ward in the past.

He also said earlier this year, via a separate report from Billboard, that he would "not participate in any musical undertakings until a righting of the wrongs spoken against me has been achieved."

Black Sabbath has not yet announced who will be the drummer in their upcoming tour. However, in past concerts, Tommy Clufetos from Osbourne's other group took the task, as reported by Rolling Stone.

After "The End," the heavy metal band promised that they would be "no more." The press release stated that "When this tour concludes, it will truly be the end," as quoted by Billboard.

No details on the final album have been released at this point.

The band's farewell tour will have 17 shows in North America beginning Jan. 20 in Omaha. It will end with a big concert at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 25.

The band will then head to the land down under for their first concert in Perth on April 15. The final concert will be in Dunedin, New Zealand on April 30.

Black Sabbath assured fans that there would be more concert dates announced in October. Key cities in the U.S. such as Washington D.C. and Boston are not included in the current list. It remains to be seen if the group will grace the locations for their final tour.
