Gamers who have a hard time choosing between playing FIFA/PES or car-based video games might want to check out "Rocket League" by Psyonix.

In a nutshell, "Rocket League" is like any soccer game. Players have to hit a ball through a goal post to score. The key difference though is that gamers take on the role of rocket-powered cars and instead of hitting 11-inch polyester balls, gamers get to pummel huge glowing orbs for points.

The game has just been released this July. Even though it might get a pass for having some gameplay issues since it's still fairly new, the game's developers aren't taking any chances.

Psyonix recently mentioned what fans can expect from the game's upcoming patch.

According to a series of posts on the game's official Twitter account, Psyonix hinted that the update, codenamed "Patch 1.05" will bring much-needed fixes to the game as well as some cool new additions.

The upcoming patch lets players have an easier way of transitioning from one match to the next since it will add a "Find New Match" option to the "Ranked" screen during the conclusion of each match.

As of the moment, players have to wait through a long loading screen to navigate back to the main menu and access another opponent. Naturally, the current setup is a detriment as it tempts gamers to discontinue from playing the game entirely.

Musically inclined "Rocket League" gamers will also be glad to know that "Patch 1.05" will add a music player interface to the menu screen. This allows players to switch smoothly from one desired beat to another. However, once a match starts, the music won't be carried over in the battle arena.

The update will also be carrying two new flags. One of which is a nod to Torn Banner Studios' "Chivalry: Medieval Warfare." It will be Agatha Knights' "Mason Order" flag while the other one is Kevin Pereira's "The Attack" flag.

Psyonix prioritizes data security with the "Patch 1.05."

"It's now less likely that your saves will be corrupted; usernames for PC players will no longer sometimes appear as asterisks to PS4 players; PC players can choose not to play with PS4 players (PS4 players already have this option for PC players); and text chat will no longer be broken after using suspend/resume on PS4," Game Spot reported.

As to when the patch will begin seeding, the "Rocket League" social media account has a hint.
