Pharrell Williams made the quite the fashion statement when he debuted his massive park ranger-esque hat at the 2014 Grammy Awards. Now, the musician is trying to make a charitable statement by auctioning the hat on the Internet.

"I'm auctioning off my hat from the Grammys to benefit From One Hand to AnOTHER...#PharrellsHat @eBay," Williams announced via Twitter.

One Hand to Another was established by Williams. He started the bidding at $200, which is how much he says he paid for Vivienne Westwood headgear, but after 64 bids the price has skyrocketed to $10,500. There are over nine days left to post a bid.

"Now is your chance to own a piece of pop culture history! Bid on Pharrell Williams' Vivienne Westwood 'Mountain' hat that was one of the biggest hits of the 2014 GRAMMY Awards," the posting says. "All proceeds benefit From One Hand to Another whose mission is to help change the world one kid at a time by giving them the tools and resources to meet their unique potential and empower them to nurture curiosity by learning through new technologies, arts, media and motivation!"

$10,500 is a lot to pay for one hat, but the bold piece does come with free shipping. Only pre-approved buyers are eligible to bid on the hat, but Williams hopes a certain restaurant chain will be interested in the auction.

"Hey @Arbys, you want my hat? Now's your chance," he tweeted.

The hat itself was first curt about the sale, simply tweeting "bye," but now seems to be on board.

"buy me, it's for a good cause!," Pharrell's Hat tweeted.

Williams spoke about  the simplicity behind his Mountain hat at this year's BRIT Awards.

"My hat's not a big deal," he said. "I just liked it."

In fact, Williams did not even discover the hat himself.

"A friend of mine introduced me to it five years ago, and I thought it was interesting," he continued. "I'm not one of those guys who has 6,000 hats. I'm very simple and modest."

Williams did not clarify which of his friends first showed him the hat, but it's pretty obvious that it was Smokey the Bear.
