The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers kicked things off on Thursday Night Football, but we still have an NFL-packed weekend ahead of us. Fantasy Football owners are gearing up for the first weekend of the NFL season, and quarterback is always the top priority. We've got three must-start quarterbacks from the NFC East this week.

Here are the five best quarterbacks for this week.

1. Tony Romo

The Dallas Cowboys are the defending NFC East champions, and Tony Romo is a big reason why. Romo and the Cowboys swept the New York Giants last season, and this game will be played in Texas. Romo has a great supporting cast around him as well. Dez Bryant is arguably the best wide receiver in the game, Jason Witten and Cole Beasley can catch passes underneath, and Terrance Williams is a very underrated wide out who had eight touchdown grabs last year. The Giants don't exactly have an elite pass defense either.

2. Eli Manning

Looks like we may be in for a high scoring game on Sunday night. Last season, the Giants and Cowboys combined for 52 points in their first meeting and 59 points in the second game. The Cowboys defense is improving, but Greg Hardy won't be on the field, and the Giants have a good passing attack. Victor Cruz won't be playing, but Odell Beckham Jr. will be on the field. The key to Manning having a great day will be the offensive line, which was pretty unstable last season.

3. Sam Bradford

It's more than 600 days since Sam Bradford played in an NFL regular season game, but he'll be starting for the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night. Bradford definitely has a lot to improve upon, and he's not an elite quarterback, but it's the matchup that is great. Bradford and the Eagles take on the Atlanta Falcons defense. Last season the Falcons ranked last in yards allowed, and more importantly, they ranked dead last in passing defense. With DeMarco Murray opening things up in the running game, Bradford should have a solid game.

4. Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers will have to play the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field this weekend. On top of that, Jordy Nelson won't be playing. So what? The Packers have beaten the Bears nine of the last 10 games, with Aaron Rodgers absolutely dominating Jay Cutler on the field. Randall Cobb is ready to be the No. 1 receiver, and the Bears have a terrible pass defense that ranked 30th overall last season in yards allowed. Last season Rodgers had 10 touchdowns and no interceptions against the Bears in two meetings.

5. Drew Brees

Peyton Manning is facing a tough Baltimore Ravens squad, and Andrew Luck has to play an elite defense on the road against the Buffalo Bills. Insert Drew Brees into the final spot. Brees is always a safe pick in Fantasy Football with the New Orleans Saints high powered offense. Some owners may be hesitant to start Brees against the Arizona Cardinals, but don't let that stop you. Antonio Cromartie is now with the New York Jets, and the Cardinals' pass defense is somewhat overrated, ranking 29th in passing yards allowed last season. Patrick Peterson hasn't been the shutdown corner that many NFL experts thought he would be.
