After the success of The Last Of Us, is a sequel in the works? According to a livestream by gaming developer Naughty Dog, it might happen.

According to IGN, Naughty Dog writer Josh Scherr apparently all but confirmed the sequel to the hit game. During the livestream focusing on the upcoming Nathan Drake Collection game, Scherr said, "All the facial animation in the Uncharted series was led up by Eric, here, and [on] the first The Last of Us. Uh, did I say the first The Last of Us?"

Naughty Dog has been known to troll its gamers, and The Last Of Us 2 is likely in the early stages of development. Fans have been clamoring for a sequel to The Last Of Us ever since it came out in June 2013.

For now, Naughty Dog is focusing on the next installment of the Uncharted series. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will follow adventurer Nathan Drake's final treasure hunt. It could possibly the last entry in the Uncharted series. It will be released on March 18, 2016.

Rumors have been swirling that the next game that Naughty Dog will release is the aforementioned The Last Of Us 2.

The Last Of Us is considered to be one of best games in the PlayStation 3 era with many video game critics rating it a perfect score due to its superb story and beautiful graphics. The game was released for the PlayStation 4 last year and looked even better on the next generation graphics. The game sold over 7 million copies for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
