Owners of OnePlus' August 2015 offering are in luck. The upstart Chinese mobile manufacturer has started rolling out its latest software update for the OnePlus 2.

OnePlus recently announced that the Oxygen OS 2.1.0 update comes in a relatively hefty file size, but OnePlus 2 owners wouldn't be disappointed since the patch is "full of bug fixes and improvements," Phone Arena reported.

Some of the improvements OnePlus 2 owners will immediately notice after installing the Oxygen OS 2.1.0 update are enhancements on the visual aspect of the handset, most especially in taking photos. Users will now have better control over how photos are shot since the patch carries a manual camera mode.

The patch also has a RAW file format support for third-party apps, though the capability might not apply to all applications as of the moment. Exchange support and a new color balance slider in the "Display" settings menu have also been added. Travel-savvy OnePlus 2 users will be delighted to know that the toggles for "Airplane Mode" have also been smoothen out.

Amid all these cool upgrades, the Oxygen OS 2.1.0 update does have a tiny caveat. Only a small percentage of OnePlus 2 users can avail of the over-the-air update as of the moment. However, OnePlus has assured that the roll out is growing wider with each passing day.

As OnePlus 2 users await the software update, leaked renders of the rumored OnePlus 3 have emerged online.

It can be remembered that OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei said in an interview with USA Today that the company's third offering will likely launch this December. However, the latest leaked information about the upcoming smarthphone has indicated otherwise.

According to My Drivers via WCCF Tech, the rumored OnePlus 3 is set to enter the mobile market this October and will be "much different" from the previous OnePlus offerings.

Unlike the OnePlus 2, which was meant for consumers looking for an affordable yet high-end device, the rumored next-gen OnePlus smartphone will target those preferring beautifully designed handsets rather those with raw firepower.

Basing from the images posted by My Drivers, the device seems to have two camera lenses on its back coupled with a dual flash feature. Dual flash is perfect for enhancing image quality in low light areas.

If the rumored OnePlus 3 does, in fact, come in a visually appealing design, it is safe to assume that its price range will be more than the OnePlus 2, which retails for about $450.

This fresh rumor should be taken lightly, though, since OnePlus hasn't elaborated further about their late 2015 offering.
