To promote their upcoming film Blended, funny-man Adam Sandler and the talented Drew Barrymore appeared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday and performed a heartwarming yet comical duet together.

Fallon, the newly appointed host of the late night television series, praised the the two for being "a great romantic comedy couple" and asked them to perform a song describing their on-screen romances.

The comedy duo poked fun at their long friendship and desire to fall romantically in love with each other every 10 years.

"Every 10 years, I promise to love you," Barrymore sings as she opens the duet.

Sandler, in his infamous adolescent humor, admits in the song that the first time he hugged his eight-month pregnant co-star he got an erection, which stirred the crowd with cheers.

Later in the performance, Sandler asked Barrymore how he compares to the list of her previous movie husbands, including Hugh Grant and Ben Stiller, to which she responds that he was much better than them.

Barrymore and Fallon also played a couple in the film Fever Pitch so naturally Sandler had to ask if he was better than Fallon, who was playing guitar during the performance. She told the two stars they were equally great while both shrugged and admitted they could live with the response.

To end the song, Sandler broke into the famous Wedding Singer tune with the line "I can be the man who grows old with you."

Blended reunites the pair for their third film in the last 16 years, and places Sandler and Barrymore's characters, with their respective children, on an African vacation where the two are forced to get along after they are introduced through a terrible blind date.

The romantic comedy co-stars' first appeared together in 1998's The Wedding Singer, followed by 50 First Dates in 2004.

Blended opens nationally on May 23.
