Christina Milian pronounces that she and ex-boyfriend Lil Wayne are "talking" and doing "fine."

Roughly a month after the 33-year-old singer and the colorful rapper called it quits on their yearlong relationship, Milian shared with Entertainment Tonight, "He and I are good. I know a lot of people have been asking."

Even in confirming their split, the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant and "Tha Carter" crooner insisted they planned to continue working together. The two are slated to spend at least part of next week in Miami together, shooting the video for her new single, "Do It," on which Wayne is also featured.

"He's just talented," added Milian. "He's just awesome. The lyrics are all about me I wanted it to be real. The song's about he and I, so it was perfect."

The two first meet in July of last year and soon after that Milian was publicly raving about her new boyfriend.

"He's the sweetest," she said back than during an appearance on L.A.'s Real 92.3 radio show. "I love him. Oh, sh**!"

Not long after that, Milian was sporting a giant rock on her finger, but she always made it clear the two were never officially engaged.

"This is not an engagement ring," said Christina. "It was just a sweet little gift."

At the time of their split, the couple cited their busy schedules and all the traveling they have to do as one of their primary obstacles.

"Their schedules started getting extremely busy and the distance was not easy for them both," a source added.

Soon after making the announcement public, Milian was spotted in New York City, trying to stay busy and focused by attending Fashion Week with longtime girlfriend and Chris Brown ex Karrueche Tran.
