The teenage daughter of a former private preparatory school headmaster in Miami, Fla. cost her parents an $80,000 lawsuit settlement after posting the deals of the agreement on her Facebook page.

The 69-year-old Patrick Snay filed an age discrimination complaint against Gulliver Preparatory School after it didn't renew his 2010-11 contract, according to CNN.

Snay and the school settled the lawsuit in November 2011 in which Gulliver Prep would have paid Snay $10,000 in back pay and his lawyers $60,000 in addition to the $80,000 settlement.

However, before papers were signed and made official, Snay's daughter, who has 1,200 Facebook friends, decided to brag about her father's victory by posting "Mama and Papa Snay won the case against Gulliver. Gulliver is now officially paying for my vacation to Europe this summer. SUCK IT."

Many of the daughter's friends are current Gulliver Prep students or former alumni and it didn't take long before the school was notified about the post.

The school contacted Snay's attorneys to notify them that Gulliver Prep would not pay the settlement as Snay broke the confidentiality agreement, which stated he, nor his wife, could speak to anyone besides attorneys regarding the settlement.

The Circuit Court ruled in favor of Snay after filing a motion to enforce the settlement but the Gulliver Prep appealed the decision to the Florida's Third District Court of Appeal.

Last week the court ruled that Snay had in fact broken the confidentiality agreement on the basis that Snay told his daughter about the settlement who then advertised the situation to the Gulliver community.

"Based on the clear and unambiguous language of the parties' agreement and Snay's testimony confirming his breach of its terms, we reverse the order entered below granting the Snay's motion to enforce the agreement," according to the ruling.

Snay is currently the Riviera Preparatory School's headmaster in Coral Gables, Fla.
