Sam Smith on Friday announced the re-release of his debut album, "In The Lonely Hour."

The 23-year-old singer spilled the beans to his fans about his new reissue Friday morning on Twitter by posting the message, "Here I give you . . . 'In The Lonely Hour Drowning Shadows Edition,'" along with the new album cover, according to Billboard.

The British singer reissued his first album as a double-disc set, titled "In The Lonely Hour: The Drowning Shadows Edition," which includes the new song "Drowning Shadows."

This new track, produced by recurrent Smith collaborators Jimmy Napes and Steve Fitzmaurice, will appear on the re-release's second disc. The track is described as "a stripped back, heart-wrenching ballad," according to a press release about the song. As part of the new release, there are also covers of Amy Winehouse's "Love Is A Losing Game" and Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know," as well as Smith's collaborations with Mary J. Blige and Disclosure.

One of the new offerings is an acoustic version of "Omen" from Smith and Disclosure, which is also included on the latter's recent album, "Caracal." Smith's reissue also includes a live version of their hit "Latch."

Smith originally released his debut album on May 26, 2014. Singles from the album include "Lay Me Down," "Money on My Mind," "Stay with Me," "I'm Not the Only One" and "Like I Can." The album peaked at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard charts and topped the U.K. Albums chart.

The singer also recently released the new music video for his James Bond theme "Writing's on the Wall." Smith is the first British male solo artist to be chosen to sing the Bond theme since Tom Jones' theme for 1965's "Thunderball." His theme has received mixed reviews from various critics.

Smith's new reissue is now available through iTunes.
