Watch Dogs Release Date PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360 News: May 27 Launch Official, Wii U Game "Has its Own Strength" and Will Be Released Later [Demo]
For those video game fans out there who are waiting for an open world game where you learn to be a hacker, the wait has come to an end as Watch Dogs has a new release date for the United States.
Ubisoft has officially announced the release date of Watch Dogs for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. So far there is no official release date for the Wii U, although Ubisoft has said that they will definitely be releasing a later version for the console.
The official release date for the game is May 27, 2014, although those who own a Wii U will have to wait until later on in the year or possibly next year, in a string of bad news for Nintendo. According to various websites, the game pad would be a great hacking tool and Ubisoft explained the delay in getting out to the Wii U by saying they wanted to take full advantage of the Wii U, which "has its own strength," without holding up the release for other consoles.
Watch Dogs premiered at E3 and a lot of people are expecting the same quality when the game is released in the United States. Ubisoft then pushed the release date back by about six months and there was a lot of suspicion that the date was pushed back to make sure the game could have a bigger release on the newer consoles. That suspicion proved to be right, not to mention that Ubisoft wanted to polish and refine the game.
Watch Dogs is a game about a man that used to be the best in the business of computer hacking. Then he uncovered something that he shouldn't have and is now a wanted man. In the game, the character gets a cell phone that allows him to control the city and use it to his advantage. At the end, there is a show down between the guy and the man that was sent to kill him. In between, you learn why he wants revenge and why he is wanted by the big shot that runs the city, not to mention that there are plenty of car chases and hacking.
