Hollywood married couple Amal Almuddin and George Clooney have recently added a new member into their family. Apparently, both Almuddin and Clooney are dog lovers and have recently adopted a new pet from a shelter in California.

A basset hound named Millie finally gets a new home with the Hollywood A-list married couple. The duo reportedly got their newest pet at the San Gabriel Humane Society, an organization whose efforts are dedicated to the protection of animals since 1924 according to the group's Facebook page.

The organization posted a photo of Clooney, Almuddin and their newest adopted pet Millie on Wednesday writing the caption, "ADOPTED! Millie was adopted by George Clooney and his wife Amal!! Millie, a basset hound, now has a new brother named Louie who is also a rescue! Congratulations and thank you for adopting!!" the caption reads as posted on Facebook.

The organization's website further revealed that the actor and his human rights lawyer wife were apparently searching for a basset hound and found their perfect match on Petfinder. The group revealed that Millie "is a four-year-old Basset Hound mix with gorgeous looks that would land her on any "Hush Puppies" commercial! Despite those adorable googly eyes, pretty long ears and short legs, Millie was found without a home and hoping for food scraps outside of a local restaurant in San Gabriel earlier this month.

This wasn't the first time that Clooney and Almuddin adopted a rescued animal as reported by Bustle. The married couple already owns a cocker spaniel named Louie and basing from the organization's post, both pets are getting along just fine especially since they are housed by the two celebrities known for their various social welfare and animal rights undertakings.

"We hope Millie will stay in touch and send photos. Congratulations to the Clooney family and thank you for adopting!" the organization's post reads on their official website.

Clooney and Almuddin were married on Sept. 27, 2014 in Venice. The married couple even waved outside the Venice City Hall after the ceremonious event took place.

Since then, both Clooney and Almuddin carried on in their individual careers, however, remained to be continuously affectionate with each other throughout their married life.

Clooney recently produced the film "Our Brand is Crisis" starring Sandra Bullock while Almuddin had been traveling back and forth in Maldives in her current case with jailed client former president Mohamed Nasheed, The Guardian reports.
