Susan Schneider, the widow of the late comedy actor Robin Williams is speaking up for the first time since the death of the actor in 2011 in an exclusive interview with Good Morning America aired on Tuesday on ABC.

The highly anticipated interview had Schneider talk for the first time about the tragic suicide of her husband and famed Hollywood actor. Talking to Amy Robrach, Schneider revealed that Williams' illness caught up with him and may have been the cause of his desire to end his life.

"If Robin was lucky, he would've had maybe three years left. And they would've been hard years. And it's a good chance he would've been locked up," Schneider told Robrach on GMA regarding Williams' supposedly scheduled neurocognitive testing during the week of his death.

Apparently, Williams had Lewy Body Dementia that Schneider speculates to have contributed to his decision to commit suicide. However, being the third wife of Williams, the still emotional widow revealed how there was nothing anyone could have done to stop her late husband to commiting suicide.

"I know we did everything we could. People have in passing will come. They would say to me, 'God, I wish I had done something more for him. If only I had called him.' And I'm thinking, 'No one could have done anything more for Robin,'" Schneider said.

"I just want everyone to know that. Nobody — no one — everyone did the very best they could. This disease is like a sea monster with 50 tentacles of symptoms that show when they want. It's chemical warfare in the brain. And we can't find it until someone dies definitively. There is no cure," she added.

Apparently, Schneider even revealed that there were numerous instances where the comedian was not himself, suffering from lucid intervals, depression and high anxiety. For years, Williams was also taking anti-depressants, although he had been sober for about eight years, the widow explained.

However, when the tragic incident, where Williams hanged himself with a belt committing, was the hardest time for Schneider. After William's death, The Daily Mail reports that she also had some legal issues with William's three children Zak, 32, from his first marriage as well as Zelda, 25, and Cody, 23, in light of William's estate.

The Daily Mail further reports that the case was recently settled prior to the interview of Schneider with "Good Morning America." In all that Schneider shared, one thing that she wanted everyone to know was that her husband suffered greatly and that she didn't blame him one single bit.
