Ricky Martin will perform at the upcoming Latin Grammy Awards.

The Puerto Rican singer will perform twice on the telecast, which airs on Nov. 19.

"If we are gonna do it, we're gonna do it right," the singer told Entertainment Tonight. "We are gonna make it big and we're gonna make the audience very happy with what we're doing on stage. It's going to be very special."

The singer has been in the media recently as he is one of the judges on the reality TV show "La Banda." He has been in charge alongside Laura Paosini and Alejandro Sanz in mentoring the young artists. The show was created by Simon Cowell and it is a singing competition that is searching for the next band in the same way One Direction was formed. The show is in its first season and Univision hopes to create the same phenomenon Telemundo did with "La Voz Kids." The show is hosted by presenter Alejandra Espinoza.

Martin's latest album, "A Quien Quiera Escuchar (To Those Who Want to Listen)," is up for Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album while his single "Disparo al Corazon" is nominated for Record and Song of the Year at the Latin Grammy Awards.

The Latin Grammy Awards will be hosted by Roselyn Sanchez and Jacqueline Bracamontes. The awards show will see the return of Will Smith to the stage and will also see performances by J Balvin, Juan Luis Guerra and Natalia Jiménez.

The Latin Grammy Awards have been around for 15 years and were founded in 2000. The first telecast was seen on CBS and was the first primarily Spanish language primetime program carried on an English-language American television network. Over the years Mexico has won the most Latin Grammy Awards followed by Brazil and Colombia.

The awards ceremony is slated for Nov. 19 and will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
