"Minority Report's" upcoming eighth episode promises to raise the stakes, as the series trucks toward its inevitable end after poor ratings left its season cut.

In the latest promo for the episode, titled "The American Dream," Will Blake (Wilmer Valderrama) discovers Dash Parker (Stark Sands) is a precog.

According to the episode's synopsis, Detective Vega (Meagan Good) and Dash will follow a vision to the Southside, where they will face distrust from the locals. How this will connect with Blake's suspicions is yet to be seen, but it will likely set the gears in motion for the season's upcoming finale.

In the clip, Blake refuses to be involved in a cover up for Vega. Meanwhile, Arthur (Nick Zano) suggests a more drastic approach to quieting Blake.

Last week, viewers got to see a little bit of the precog's history. It turns out Arthur used to be a lot more like Dash when he was first released from his milky bath prison.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Zano referenced a moment in the episode when a younger Arthur flirts with a waitress in a restaurant.

"That's a whole moment," Zano said. "And you realize just the magnitude of his innocence, and what happens in that same episode where that innocence was at its peak, and then it just f*cking dies."

Unfortunately, viewers may not get to see if Arthur can reclaim his innocence. The upcoming episode will be "Minority Report's" third to last, due to Fox's decision to cut the season's 13 scheduled episodes down to 10 because of poor ratings.

According to Cinema Blend, the premiere garnered only 3.1 million viewers, despite being highly promoted. Ratings have dropped since then, with recent episodes attracting less than 2 million viewers.

The Wrap reports that 21st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch called the show "a disappointment."

"Minority Report" will return on Monday, Nov. 16 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox. Check out the trailer below.
