Even with all the controversy that surrounded the appearance of Donald Trump on NBC's "Saturday Night Live," the show still scored its highest ratings in nearly four years with his presence.

According to Deadline, the highly protested and widely condemned appearance for Trump on the show was still a large draw for television audiences around the country when the show featured the Republican Presidential candidate for the party's nomination.

The show reeled in a 6.6 metered rating for market households. Of those numbers, 2.7 were in the key demographic of adults 18-19, which is a big draw for advertisers.

The last time the ratings were that high was back on Jan. 7, 2012. That was an episode Charles Barkley hosted with Kelly Clarkson as the special musical guest. That episode actually did better than the Trump episode, drawing in a 7.0 rating.

Although there was plenty of controversy surrounding his appearance last Saturday, the content within the episode itself also contained plenty of content that was also quite risqué for the potential leader of the U.S.

In a sketch, it featured Trump in 2018 as the elected president speaking to his cabinet in the Oval Office discussing how much better the country is now that he is president.

Several faux comments were made about his achievements since taking office. But there is one part of the skit in particular that really got people's attention. It featured the Mexican president showing up at the Oval Office to deliver a check for the gigantic wall that Trump built to keep Mexicans out.

It insinuated not only did Trump follow through with his promise to build a wall on the southern border, but he also convinced Mexico to pay for it.

The skit also featured Trump congratulating the Mexican president for changing Telemundo to an all-English network.
