"Two and a Half Men" has been one of the most consistently popular shows on network television for the span of a decade now. That doesn't mean that its success hasn't come without its fair share of bumps along the way.

Still reeling from the loss of its star Charlie Sheen, the show is now losing its "half" man Angus T. Jones. His replacement? Reportedly a woman to be played by an actress in her late teens or early twenties.

"I've learned that the veteran comedy, which earlier this month was renewed for an 11th season, will introduce a new female series regular character next fall. The role, a high-profile gig for a young actress, will bring in a major plot twist to the show," reports the Hollywood watchdog website Deadline.

In its report, Watchdog states that it has reason to believe that the female character will play the role of Charlie Harper's long-lost daughter on the show. It has not yet been decided who will play the surely-coveted role.

The news of Angus T. Jones' departure does not exactly come as a surprise. For a while now he has been involved with a controversial Seventh-Day Adventist church that, among other things, believes that Jay-Z is Satan and that President Obama is akin to Hitler. In an interview in November, Jones had this to say about the show he's been a part of for most of his life:

"Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth. People say it's just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you'll have a decision to make when it comes to television and especially with what you watch on television ... it's bad news."

After those inflammatory remarks, it appeared that the writing was on the wall for the former child star. Jones also publicly stated that he no longer wanted to be a part of the show, and so the decision to part ways appears to be a mutual one.

What will happen next for "Two and a Half Men" is quite uncertain. With two of its three original main characters now gone, it seems doubtful that the show will be able to soldier on for much longer. For some reason, "Two Men and the Daughter Of One Half Of The Original Two Men" just doesn't have quite the same ring to it.
