Lorde has denied allegations that she lip-synced on "Saturday Night Live" this past weekend, taking the rumor as an "awesome compliment."

The 19-year-old New Zealand-born singer was a featured vocalist during Disclosure's musical guest set on the late night show, according to Billboard. She joined the group for their collaboration "Magnets."

After the show, some of Lorde's fans were so impressed by her performance they questioned whether she had lip-synced.

In response, Lorde tweeted, "wow - the fact that some people thought i was lip syncing on snl is an awesome compliment! goes without saying i have never/will never haha."

Later, she added another post expressing her gratitude for being able to sing on "SNL," tweeting, "we're just a bunch of kids from far away places and we played on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE! it's all a bit overwhelming and i'm crazy grateful."

Sam Smith also performed his duet "Omen" with the group later in the show, which was hosted by Elizabeth Banks.

Both "Magnets" and "Omen" are featured on Disclosure's album "Caracal," which was released on Sept. 25. The album has produced the singles "Holding On," "Omen" and "Jaded." It has reached the top spots on the U.S. Dance/Electronic Albums chart and U.K. Albums chart.

Lorde released her debut album "Pure Heroine" in September 2013. This album produced the singles "Royals," "Tennis Court," "Team," "No Better" and "Glory and Gore." The album topped the U.S. Top Rock Albums chart, New Zealand Albums chart and Australian Albums chart.

"Saturday Night Live" airs on NBC every Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET.

Adele is set to perform on next week's episode of the show with host Matthew McConaughey. This will be the singer's first time back to the show since making her "SNL" debut in 2008 with her performance of "Chasing Pavements," a track from her album "19."
