There is no doubt that it is getting so much closer to find out which finalist will become America's next favorite singer -- so what can you expect from this week's episodes of American Idol: Season 13? The top 9 contestants will hit the stage, transforming themselves into the band's lead singers.

The remaining singers, Caleb Johnson, Alex Preston, Jena Irene, Sam Woolf, Majesty Rose, Malaya Watson, Jessica Meuse, C.J. Harris and Dexter Roberts, will certainly give their best performances under the theme, "I'm with the Band." In other words, each will be responsible to play the role of lead singer to Rickey Minor and the band. Also, the music choice is open, as they will be given the chance to pick any individual song they want, as long as it involves the band, and sing their best for the audience's votes.

Just as a reminder, the reality-singing competition series will be kicking off the week on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m., and the votes will be tallied on Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET/PT, as a result of special shift in the FOX schedule. American Idol will no longer be an hour long for the rest of the season, actually going back to just thirty minutes, just like Season 5.

Another thing to look forward to is Janelle Monae's performance on the results show. She will be debuting her new single, "What Is Love?"

Watch the top 9 contestants' performance on Wednesday night, and find out who will be making the cut and who will be vote off on Thursday evening.
