Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James and head coach David Blatt had a rocky relationship last season, but the four-time Most Valuable Player gave a strong indication on Thursday that he supports their second-year mentor.

James praised Blatt before their game against the Milwaukee Bucks, saying that the 56-year-old coach is at the same level as the best coaches in the league.

"He does his job, as great as any coach can do in this league," James told reporters. "It's up for us to go out and produce."

The comments came after the Blatt canceled practice on Wednesday to conduct a film session, where he pointed out their mistakes during their two consecutive defeats -- against the Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons.

"Coach Blatt got on us pretty well," James said. "Rightfully so, which he should have and we spent about 45 minutes in the film room. Yesterday was definitely not a day off. It was day off from the court, but not from us preparing and still getting better."

The film session yielded positive results, as the Cavaliers snapped their two-game skid with a 115-100 win against the Bucks on Thursday night at Quicken Loans Arena.

James finished with 27 points on 9-for-13 shooting from the field to go along with nine rebounds and six assists, while fellow superstar Kevin Love racked up 22 points and 15 rebounds.

Tristan Thompson provided a huge lift off-the-bench again, as he ended up with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Matthew Dellavedova, who started in place of injured Mo Williams, tallied seven points and 13 assists. Starting shooting guard J.R. Smith scored 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting with four three-pointers.

The Cavaliers, who are still on top of the Eastern Conference standings with their 9-3 record, shot 56.3 percent from the field and had 21 more rebounds than the Bucks, who only had 22 boards in the game.

James blasted his teammates for lack of effort after their two straight defeats. The superstar forward was impressed with the way they played on Thursday.

"This is how we need to play," James said via ESPN. "There's no ifs ands or buts. I think we answered the call on what we talked about. We're just trying to get better."
