Donald Trump is under increasing fire over his apparent mocking of a physically handicapped reporter during a recent campaign rally.

The New York Daily News reports while speaking to supporters in South Carolina earlier this week, the Republican Party presidential front-runner signaled out Washington Post reporter Serge Kovaleski in defending his previous claims that Muslims in Jersey city celebrated the tragedy of 9/11.

In leading up to the moment, Kovaleski, who is now employed by the New York Times, had commented he couldn't recall "thousands, or even hundreds, of people celebrating" as Trump has alleged.

"Now the poor guy, you ought to see the guy," Trump said, mimicking the reporter. "'Uhh, I don't know what I said. I don't remember.' "

All the while, Trump was busy gyrating his arms in a way that clearly seemed to suggest he was attempting to mock the writer who suffers from the congenital condition arthrogryposis, which limits one's movement of the joints and weakens the muscles around them.

"We think it's outrageous that he would ridicule the appearance of one of our reporters," a spokesperson for the Times has since commented. In recent times, Trump has also angered reporters by requiring that journalists covering his campaign rallies be escorted to the bathroom to and from.

From the very beginning, many have argued Trump has made his support of the outlandish a staple of his run for the Oval Office. He previously boasted if elected he could deport as many as 11 million immigrants in less than two years. In advocating such a move, Trump callously labeled Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals.

"You're going to have a deportation force," he said. "And I always say the wall, we're going to build the wall. It's going to be a real deal. It's going to be a real wall."
