"Closure," the ninth episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3 shows that Grant Ward is truly unredeemable.

Ward (Brett Dalton) killed Rosalind Price (Constance Zimmers) just when she was getting closer to Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), A.V. Club noted. Coulson and Zimmers' budding relationship was pleasing to see, as it showed how heads of two powerful government units, S.H.I.E.L.D. and ATCU, could eventually find love after all the distrust and challenges in the past episodes.

However, it was cut short by Ward when he shot Price.

This is what Ward may be planning when he wanted to seek revenge for what the agency did to him.

"S.H.I.E.L.D. can be directly responsible, in his eyes, for two failed relationships that he's tried to have which were very important to him -- one with Skye and one with Agent 33. If it weren't for S.H.I.E.L.D. meddling in all his affairs, he'd be a much happier man. So there's an axe to grind," Dalton told Comic Vine.

Thus, when he reigned over the new HYDRA, he envisioned it to be "The yin to Coulson's yang," explained the actor.

Killing Price is just another monstrous act Ward has done that makes him a true irreversible villain.

He ended the lives of Eric Koenig and agent Victoria Hand in the first season. He also sacrificed his friendship with Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) when he released them via a closed container from an airplane, leading to their presumed death. He also tried to kill Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), and tortured Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki). He also planned on killing Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) and plotted to endanger May's loved ones, including her father and her former husband, Dr. Andrew Garner (Blair Underwood).

As if that's not enough, he also tortured Simmons so that he and Gideon Malick (Powers Boothe) can carry out their plan to get the Inhuman from the other dimension, which "Many Heads, One Tale" episode revealed, Comic Vine noted. Malick wants to reopen the portal through what Simmons and Fitz know.

Simmons, on the other hand, would just like to be killed than to be a tool for their evil plan, IGN noted.

Will HYDRA become more powerful in the next episodes?

Could Daisy Johnson's (Chloe Bennet) Secret Warriors comprising of Inhumans Lincoln Campbell (Luke Mitchell), Joey (Juan Pablo Raba) and herself be enough to overcome Ward, Malick and HYDRA?
