Jennifer Lawrence has outwardly said she wants her friend Amy Schumer to win the Golden Globe over her.

The 25-year-old "Hunger Games" actress was nominated in the best leading actress in a comedy category alongside the 34-year-old "Trainwreck" comedienne, according to Entertainment Tonight.

"We both agree. We want her up there," Lawrence said while promoting her new movie, "Joy." "Although she won't say that, I can say it."

Lawrence has previously taken home several Golden Globes over the years for her roles in "Silver Linings Playbook" and "American Hustle."

"I was like, 'I want to see your sweet little ass up there on that stage,'" Lawrence said. "Selfishly, it would be really good for our movie if she won. So vote for Amy."

Schumer and Lawrence just finished working together on a screenplay for a film they will star in as sisters.

When asked what she was doing when she found out about her Golden Globe nomination, Schumer said she was "in bed alone." When she went to work later in the day on her Comedy Central show, "Inside Amy Schumer," she was congratulated with champagne.

"I was drunk in bed too," Lawrence said. "I actually sent her a selfie of me in bed with wine before we knew about it."

After Schumer found out about her Golden Globe nomination, she joked her friendship with Lawrence was over:

"The friendship is completely over," Schumer said. "I just blocked her number. It's over."

This past August the pair surprised the crowd at a Billy Joel concert at Chicago's Wrigley Field where they kicked off their shoes, climbed atop his piano and danced together during "Uptown Girl."

The Golden Globes, which will be hosted this year by Ricky Gervais, will air on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 on NBC.
