It's long been rumored that Caroline Flack and Olly Murs will not return to host the "X-Factor UK" next year. The co-presenters have received several criticisms over their numerous blunders on the program and viewers suspect they will be replaced.

While their future with the ITV show remains uncertain, Union J singer George Shelley has recently expressed his interest to host the show with his rumored girlfriend Ferne McCann.

Shelley told the Daily Star in a recent interview that he and McCann would be good presenters on the show. The 22-year old believes that they "could totally be the next Olly and Caroline."

"I would love to be a presenter on TV or radio. Me and Ferne have similar aspirations, we both want to present and we would work really well together I think," he said.

The "I'm A Celebrity" runner up further said that he would take some queues from Flack and Murrs when it comes to hosting the "X-Factor UK."

"I heard Caroline say once that the secret to her and Olly's career is that they never slept together. So if me and Ferne did want a career together presenting or anything, we just want to make sure we don't rush into anything that could spoil that," Shelley told the Daily Star.

The Union J singer also revealed the same aspiration during an interview with Metro UK. He mentioned Flack and Murs' job of co-hosting the "X-Factor UK" was successful because they don't mix business with pleasure. Amid the rumors of the pair's romance, they never went beyond the boundaries of being workmates.

"So I think we maybe need to take a hint from that, work out what we want to do - is it a work thing, are we mates? - we're just going to take our time," Shelley said in his interview with Mirror UK, adding that he and McCan would be called "Gerne" if ever they do get to host the "X-Factor UK."

In the same interview, he also mentioned about wanting to go into acting. Shelley revealed he has already been offered two "exciting" roles. However, he didn't go into further details about the acting propositions.

Talking life after his appearance on "I'm A Celebrity," Shelley said he and his fellow Union J singers Josh Cuthbert, Jaymi Hensley and JJ Hamblett are focusing on their third album right now. He also revealed the group's plan to tour Asia next year.
