Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have gained almost instant fame thanks to their respective roles as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of E. L. James' best-selling novel "Fifty Shades of Grey." Dornan, however, is already ready to leave some aspects of the film behind. Meanwhile, Johnson's already-famous father definitely has his opinions.

Thanks to Christian being a S&M-loving billionaire, Dornan picked up a new skill on the set of "Fifty Shades of Grey," but he hopes it doesn't come in handy anytime soon.

"There are a couple of classic knots I know now, and I've put them to good use far too many times recently," he told The Guardian. "In fact I'd like to do a job where I don't have to tie women to beds."

Dornan said his high-profile role and his other work has resulted in "a mad year, professionally, personally." The year included success in the long struggle to break free of the modeling game and solidify himself as an actor.

"... that tag -- underwear model -- I just can't get rid of it, and it's such a bizarre, specific thing -- underwear," Dornan explained. "It's like I never modeled clothes."

Could "Fifty Shades of Grey" break that stigma?

"I don't think I'm allowed to say anything mate," Dornan responded.

According to The Guardian, Dornan finds the secrecy behind the film exhausting but knows it's part of "the pressure of a big studio, a big thing." Still, he can do without the attention.

"The whole thing's ridiculous," Dornan said with a pause. "It's just all a bit silly the way it works ... I think I could lose my mind. ... I've done three jobs back to back. Let's see how they are received. If there's nothing I want to do, I'll just play golf and change nappies."

Meanwhile, what does Don Johnson, Johnson's father, think of his daughter's sexiest role yet?

"I'm exceedingly proud of my daughter," he told Total Film. "She's a gifted, gifted actress. I don't speak about the obviously salacious nonsense. This is the family business -- we all take on challenges and there's no doubt in my mind that Dakota will be a major movie star. This is just another part of what I think will be a long and important career."

"Fifty Shades of Grey" hits theaters Feb. 13, 2015.
