They all grow up so fast! Prince George celebrates his third birthday on Friday July 22 with a British tea party.

The Kensington Palace released photos of the beau on his special day via its Twitter page.

In one photo, the little prince wears a blue and white striped sweater with khaki shorts as he strolls through the grass.

"Here are some new photos of Prince George on his 3rd birthday," the palace tweeted.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thanked everyone for their wonderful birthday wishes to Prince George, a Twitter caption states on a close up photo of the toddler.

He looks so happy sitting on a swing on a bright summer day.

In another photo, Prince George is sitting on a picnic blanket with his dog as he feeds the canine ice cream.

"I can't believe it's been three years already!" the Twitter caption reads.

Another photo caption lets us know that Matt Porteous took the pictures of Prince George at the Royal family's home in Norfolk.

Meanwhile, animal welfare charity RSPCA was concerned about the prince's photo where he appeared to be feeding his dog chocolate covered ice cream.

"We would advise people to be cautious when giving their dogs food meant for human consumption as some items, like chocolate, can be highly toxic to dogs and dairy items can be difficult for them to digest," the organization said.

RSPCA encourages children to make an ice treat made from pet-friendly ingredients as an alternative to ice cream. Such a treat is safe for dogs and also fun for children to make.

"Whenever you do treat your dog, do consider the ingredients and always seek the advice of your vet," Dogs Trust veterinary director Paula Boyden tells The Guardian.

Prince George is having a tea party filled with sandwiches, tea and cake for his birthday celebration at the Royal family's Norfolk mansion.

"I don't think it [the tea party] will be over the top. It will be a low-key country-side affair and there will definitely be local kids from nursery there," maternity nurse Sarah Dixon tells PEOPLE magazine.

Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton have planned a fun-filled event for their fist-born. They are expected to have close friends and family members over for the day of fun games and activities.

Most of Kate's family will be there and a few of William's family members are also expected to be there.
