The "Assassin's Creed" movie is just right around the corner, and Fox just released a new poster for for it on its Twitter account. The film follows a common lineage to the popular Ubisoft video games which star Michael Fassbender as a character named Callum Lynch. Fassbender has collaborated with his Macbeth director Justin Kurzel to do the movie with Frank Marshall as a producer.

According to WWG, the film stars Marion Cotillard as Dr.Sophia Rikkin, Jeremy Irons as Alan Rikkin, Brendan Gleeson, Khalid Abdalla, and Michael K. Williams. The movie will be based on the Ubisoft video game franchise of the same name written by Adam Cooper, Bill Collage, and Michael Lesslie.

The poster is likely to get fans picture it more than just words, as the design is very retro. The poster focuses on the assassins and seemingly their weapons of choice. The focal point on the poster is Anguilar, from the 15th century Spain with other assassins surrounding him along with daggers, guns, and crossbow as reported by IGN.

With regards to the story, the official Assassin's Creed synopsis reads as:

"Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain.  Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day."

It looks like 20th Century Fox will be making a lot on this video game/film adaptation with a budget between USD 130 and USD 200 million. Producer Patrick Crowley said fans can expect the ratio between time spent in 2016 and 1491 to be about 65 %/35 %.

The film arrives in theaters on December 21, 2017, and the fans are waiting for how the movie will come across since its heading in during busy holiday season.
