In a fabulous rear guard action Golden State Warriors trounced Brooklyn Nets 117-101 after conceding a 16 point lead in the first half.

The Warriors' win was the sixth straight one, ESPN reported. After the deficit in the first half, the Warriors regrouped and put on a splendid defense to romp home by 16 points when the final whistle blew. Perhaps the fact that it was going to miss power forward Draymond Green (away to witness the birth of his son) Warriors was sluggish and allowed Nets to open 3-pointers and back cuts so much so that Nets' Brook Lopez scored 23points in the first half.

Zaza Pachulia, the Warriors' center, confessed to the team committing errors and not focusing on the job. However, the Warriors woke up to quickly narrow the lead and then went on to win by 16 points thanks to Kevin Durant's 26 points. The ESPN report added that the Warriors reshaped its strategy to stifle Brook Lopez. Additionally, its defense, bolstered by Stephen Curry's inspired play, did some splendid work to force giveaways from the Nets and grab 10 turnovers.

Nets' Brook Lopez, who had 31 career 3s in the eight seasons before, came hard to score seven 3s to total 136 for the season up to the first half of this game, The Mercury News reported. The report adds that the Warriors' stars blundered along with everyone making mistakes. Not only mistakes, but fouls as well when Durant earned his sixth technical foul for the year.

Things started looking up for the Warriors when its defense took on a more meaningful role coupled with some great steals, passes and dunks. The action picked up for Warriors when Thompson had two 3s, and in a matter of seven minutes the Warriors carved out a 24-5 run.

Along with the win and the way it came back, Warriors' head Coach Stephen Kerr had a sermon for his team as he exhorted his players to defend or face trouble.
