When it comes to graphics and applications in need of advanced and high-powered graphics, people only go two ways at the time of purchase. Often called the red team and the green team, both AMD and Nvidia have managed to retain their consumer base up to an extent at least in the last couple of years. While Nvidia's graphic chips are on the more expensive side, their price point has consistently managed to satisfy enthusiasts requiring high-end graphics.

On the other side, there's AMD who've recently released the new 'Polaris' series of graphic cards with price factor in mind. AMD have two competitors to look out for simultaneously with Intel for the processors while Nvidia has been the primary competitor for AMD in the field of graphics.

Nvidia, on the other hand, has one last product to release for 2017. Rumored to be the 1080Ti, the card is expected to be an intermediate between the 1080 and the Titan X Pascal which comes at a debatable price. In a report from the PC world, Nvidia will have something planned if there's no actual announcement for the 1080Ti that professional gamers and streamers have long been waiting for.

Other rumors from Digital Trends also points out about a potential release of the now in-demand Ryzen chips from AMD which are expected to overtake their competitor Intel in terms of not just pricing but also performance. The reports also mentioned that San Francisco, CA will stay as the common destination for both the companies.

Nvidia's current generation 'Pascal' graphic cards have successfully managed to fulfill its target audience. While AMD hasn't yet come out with their top of the line graphic chips yet, Feb. 28 might be one of the most important dates for both Nvidia and AMD. Consumers and enthusiasts for some time now have desperately waited for AMD to announce their 'VEGA' chips which might finally happen on the 28th this month.
