Disney's upcoming "Beauty and the Beast" is a live action adaptation of the classic cartoon movie. Emma Watson is cast as Belle and the latest trailer showcases her singing the iconic songs in the movie that are well-loved by many.

Before Emma Watson took on Belle for "Beauty and the Beast," she had initial misgivings about the role. E News reports that the "Harry Potter" actress was wary of the character's Stockholm syndrome allegations. Belle fell in love with the Beast after she offered herself in place of her father as the prisoner.

However, Emma Watson explains that Belle does not exhibit the Stockholm-syndrome traits. In the original "Beauty and the Beast" movie, she had her defiance and freedom to do what she wants and treats the Beast exactly how he deserves.

Additionally, Emma Watson also took a direct initiative with regards to the live-action "Beauty and the Beast" movie. She also had a hand in designing her costumes and the kind of career she gets to have in it. Most importantly, she wanted Belle to be a good role model for girls and women who will watch the movie.

Emma Watson explained that "Beauty and the Beast" live-action Belle will be compassionate and curious. She will remain independent without any biases for perceived stereotypes especially when she deals with personalities like the Beast.

True to being a feminist role model and being a responsible fashion icon in the real word, Emma Watson launched a new sustainable fashion Instagram. The account named The Press Tour showcases the many outfits of Emma Watson with pieces that are eco-friendly, according to Vogue.

The newly created Instagram account has now garnered thousands of followers. Just recently, Emma Watson posted a photo of her in an outfit for a press conference for Disney's live-action "Beauty and the Beast."
