Tom Cruise will once again reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in "Mission: Impossible 6." There is a lot to look forward to in the movie because director Christopher McQuarrie has shared that the sixth movie will differ from the five ones before it. Itwill reportedly tell a more personal side of Ethan Hunt and some unexpected reunions.

It wasn't a smooth sailing ride for "Mission: Impossible 6" as the pre-production came to a halt as there was a pay disagreement between Tom Cruise and the movie studio. The movie will finally start filming on April 10 in Paris and Ethan Hunt will be back again, IGN notes.

The "Mission: Impossible" franchise is known for its action genre but "Mission: Impossible 6" will bring a whole new perspective to Tom Cruise's character, Ethan Hunt. Christopher McQuarrie said in an interview that Ethan Hunt will go on an emotional journey and Tom Cruise was excited about the idea.

The director did not specify but he stated that "Mission: Impossible 6" will showcase the more personal side of Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt. The movie will remain an action film but this time, Ethan Hunt's character will be made more human as he goes through harrowing moral trials.

Furthermore, "Mission: Impossible 6" will also see the return of characters from past films. Screen Crush reports that this Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt may meet with his one-time wife Julia Meade (played by Michelle Monaghan) and possibly other "unexpected" characters as well. Rebecca Ferguson's Ilsa Faust from "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" will be in the upcoming movie too.

Director Christopher McQuarrie adds that "Mission: Impossible 6" will start with a different approach. Instead of having Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt start with an intense action scene, which is almost a tradition, the movie will have a different opening. The upcoming movie is slated to be released on July 27, 2018.
