The Atlanta Hawks have recently been bitten hard by the injury bug and will be without two of their key players when they begin a grinding three-game road trip this week. The team has just announced on Sunday that all-star forward Paul Millsap will be missing the next two games due to what has been described as tightness in his left knee.

According to Peach Tree Hoops, Paul Millsap is now listed on the injured list of players and won't be playing in Monday's game versus the Charlotte Hornets, nor in Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. Aside from Millsap, one key player will also be missing in action for the Hawks' next games.

Shooting guard/small forward Kent Bazemore is already out and will be out even longer. Bazemore, who left last night's game against the Portland Trailblazers with 5:27 remaining in the fourth quarter due to a right knee contusion, just received an MRI this morning which revealed a right knee bone bruise.

According to NBA, the Hawks team were hopeful after the said game that the injury wouldn't require him to miss any additional time. However, that won't be the case after the said MRI results this morning has revealed that Baze has a bone bruise in his right knee.

With that, Kent Bazemore will be treated and re-evaluated in 7 to 10 days. He is also listed as out and will not be traveling with the team for tomorrow's game at Charlotte.

With the team now plagued with injuries to some of their key players, the Hawks are expected to make some desperate moves. With that updates have confirmed that the Hawks have recalled DeAndre Bembry from the NBA D-League team Salt Lake City Stars.

Bembry will be in uniform for the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night when they take on the Hornets. Updates for both Paul Millsap and Kent Bazemore will be coming in the following days.
