Just a single glance at the all-new Samsung Galaxy S8 can already give people the impression that Samsung has spent a great deal of time and effort in perfecting the screen. From the little-to-no bezels on the sides to the elegant curves at both edges and the dominance of the panel throughout the phone's surface, the S8's screen might be its most defining feature.

According to Digital Trends, this has lead towards experts at DisplayMate awarding the Samsung Galaxy S8 with the highest rating they have ever handed out to any smartphone. In its recent tech report, DisplayMate calls the new Samsung Galaxy S8's 5.8-inch AMOLED screen the most innovative and high-performance display that they have ever tested and was very impressed with the device's color accuracy and a wider spectrum of vibrant colors.

The analysts also found out that the Samsung Galaxy S8's display could reproduce 142 percent of sRGB / Rec.709 and 113 percent of DCI-P3 color gamuts. It has also reportedly outperformed the older S7's screen by almost every criteria.

According to TopHot News, DisplayMate also noted that the sub-pixel rendering technique Samsung used has made the display look even sharper. To go along with that, the Samsung Galaxy S8 has also set several records in DisplayMate's testing, the most notable one being a peak brightness of 1,020 units, which is 17 percent brighter than the S7, along with it being necessary for viewing HDR content as intended.

But even when using the Samsung Galaxy S8 under normal conditions, the much-improved viewing angles and automatic brightness settings that are offered by the S8's front and back dual ambient light sensors should result in a much better experience overall. With all things said, it's safe to say that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is truly made to showcase its extremely powerful screen, with a more accurate measure of surrounding conditions to adjust the display.
