Nintendo Switch owners would definitely love to see Blizzard's "Overwatch" join the games list, but as of now, Blizzard isn't sure if the Switch could actually handle it. In recent gaming news, Blizzard has just given Nintendo Switch fans a huge update on a potential "Overwatch" port.

According to Express UK, "Overwatch" director Jeff Kaplan has recently said that the company was open towards the idea of having a Switch port, but he also admitted that it would be a challenge.

Kaplan claims that getting "Overwatch" on the Switch is "very challenging," but he also said that the company is always open-minded about exploring new possibilities.

In an interview with Express, Kaplan said that in order to make "Overwatch" run on the Nintendo Switch, Blizzard would have to "revisit performance" and just how to get the game on the Switch platform.

Kaplan also said that aside from considering specifications, it is also good for everyone to know that it is already challenging to maintaining three platforms and patching simultaneously, something that Blizzard has finally been able to achieve.

Despite all the requirements that need to be considered, Kaplan is, however, a big fan of the Nintendo Switch, and hasn't ruled out a possible Nintendo port completely. "Just because we are not on a platform right now, doesn't mean we won't consider it in the future," Kaplan said.

As of right now, according to Forbes, "Overwatch" fans are currently waiting for the upcoming new Uprising event officially kicking off on April 11. The traditional update started with a Twitter teaser that featured a video for something that is linked to a King's Road Uprising event that took place seven years ago.

This was then followed up by a new "Overwatch" comic book, entitled Uprising, which explores the story behind King's Row's omnic history. Fans and players will find out more info about the event when the next big "Overwatch" update hits the game on April 11.
