Kendall Jenner is laying low after her recent Pepsi ad controversy.  The advert recently received quite a backlash and accused of belittling the Black Lives Matter movement.

According to New York Daily News, the Pepsi ad featured Kendall Jenner in a photo shoot. She notices a group of protestors just outside the window and decided to take part in it.

The ad continues and the model takes off her wig and makeup and walks beside the protestors. The controversy struck when Kendall Jenner takes out a can of Pepsi and hands it to a police officer. As the officer takes a sip out of it the protestors shout in approval.

The ad was never supposed to air in the US but eventually made it through via online. Following the criticism, Pepsi apologized and clarified that it was not their intention to hurt anybody's sentiments. The company then pulled off the ad while Kendall Jenner also removed any mention of it that was done before from her social media.

A source told People that Kendall Jenner is not at all happy about the ad controversy that dragged her name and reputation in it. She is currently planning to lay low until things calm down.

The source added that the model's family is supporting her in these hard times. Taking a break from the limelight Kendall Jenner has chosen to spend her time with her family.

"She (Kendall Jenner) has been very upset and feels terrible. She loves being a model," People quoted the source said. "To get a Pepsi gig was a big deal. She was very excited. She never expected it to receive such backlash. She hopes people understand that she wasn't involved in the creative process."

The source continued that Kendall loves modeling and just wants to do a good job. The 21-year old doesn't want to be a part of any controversy. The family is currently planning on how to deal with the issue.
