Several teams are expected to make a run at Kevin Love once the Minnesota Timberwolves decide to shop him, and reports indicated that the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors have the best chance of acquiring the All-Star forward.

Gery Woelfel of the Journal Times reported that two NBA executives are convinced that Love will likely end up with the Lakers while also naming the Warriors as the favorites to acquire the former UCLA standout.

"Two NBA executives, when asked where they thought Minnesota star forward Kevin Love would end up, said the Los Angeles Lakers -- even though Golden State appears to be the front-runners for his services," Woelfel wrote.

It is unknown at this point, though, what the Lakers will offer in exchange for Love, and they might not have the assets the Timberwolves are looking for in exchange for their star forward.

The Lakers have the seventh overall pick in the stacked 2014 NBA Draft, but the Timberwolves will definitely command more assets aside from the valuable first-round pick.

One option for the Lakers is signing Pau Gasol to a deal to make him one of the players that they could package in a potential trade for Love.

The Warriors, on the other hand, are considered favorites because they have the assets to convince the Timberwolves to trade Love.

Recent reports indicated that the Warriors might offer Klay Thompson and David Lee in exchange for Love and Kevin Martin, but the Timberwolves are still pushing for more assets.

Sources indicated that the Timberwolves want the Warriors to include a future first-round pick in the deal or incoming third-year forward Harrison Barnes, who has been mentioned in several trade talks earlier this season.

Aside from the Lakers and the Warriors, the Denver Nuggets also put themselves in the running for Love after offering Kenneth Faried, Wilson Chandler and the 11th pick in the upcoming rookie draft.

The Bulls are also expected to make a run at Love, but they will likely wait for Carmelo Anthony to decide what team he will be playing form starting next season.
