Kanye West has been canceled by some media companies, social media, and retail brands, and this was all because of his own actions.

Kanye, now known as Ye, completely melted down after his divorce from Kim Kardashian, leading to his beef with Kim's ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson, and it all spiraled down from there.

From his association with Donald Trump and white nationalist Nick Fuentes to antisemitic hate speech, and all the way to Nike and several brands severing ties with him, Kanye went from one of the most celebrated rappers on Earth to one that many did not want to be seen with.

After his Taylor Swift interruption and initial support of Trump raised a few eyebrows, and his feud with Pete and desperation to get Kim back, he then began saying racist comments against Jewish people that led him to be canceled completely.

Not only have various brands cut ties with Kanye, but also people and celebrities.

How Kanye West's Cancelation Truly Began

Kanye West got called off by various media personalities when he started harassing his ex-wife. However, the alarm bells really started ringing in October when he wore a "White Lives Matter" T-shirt during his private show for 100 guests at the Paris Fashion Week.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, White Lives Matter is a white supremacist neo-Nazi group. However, even with the criticism, Kanye doubled down, posting his infamous "death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE" tweet a few days later.

Lifestyle Asia also reported that around that time, Ye also beefed with record producer Sean "Diddy" Combs, accusing him of being influenced by "the Jewish people."

Kanye has become so controversial that even Kim Kardashian called him out on his actions. Other celebrities and anti-hate groups followed, including the Anti-Defamation League.

After a few days, Ye raised even more eyebrows when he sat down for a bombshell interview with Tucker Carlson. There, he expressed several views that included debunked conspiracy theories and airing more of his antisemitic opinions.

TIME Magazine also revealed that the show had unaired footage that showed the rapper talking about unfounded abortion claims and fatphobic comments about American singer-rapper Lizzo.

Companies Dropping Kanye West Left and Right

As Kanye West continued to espouse antisemitic tropes, companies started distancing themselves from him. Ye has become so toxic that many were willing to lose millions of dollars for cutting their partnerships with him.

The biggest, of course, is Adidas, which made his line of Yeezy sneakers. The company earned billions riding on its partnership with the Yeezy brand while overlooking his abusive behavior toward staffers.

However, the company had enough and eventually decided to cut ties after some consideration. That also made Kanye lose billions of dollars in revenue, and his net worth took a huge hit.

Ye eventually tried to make a deal with Sketchers, but he was subsequently escorted out from the building where he had been trying to film.

Other big companies also cut ties with him, such as JP Morgan Chase, Balenciaga, Vogue Magazine, and Kering. Drinks Champs also removed his podcast.

His own agency, CAA, also removed him, and his former agency, CTA, condemned his antisemitic comments.
