Flo Rida's six-year-old son was reportedly placed in a hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after falling from a fifth-floor Jersey City apartment.

After the March 4 incident,.Zohar Dillard suffered a collapsed lung, lacerated liver, internal bleeding, and multiple pelvic fractures, according to the New York Daily News.

The boy was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but he somehow survived a 50-foot fall onto the ground. Flo Rida's son is reportedly in a full-body cast and must learn how to walk again.

Alexis Adams, the mother, reportedly said in 2018 that Flo Rida had only seen their son once. Reports said the boy was diagnosed with hydrocephalus soon after birth.

According to the National Institutes of Health, it is "a neurological disorder caused by an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles (cavities) deep within the brain."

Adams has never left Dillard since the fall. On the other hand, Flo Rida just took to social media to express his gratitude to those who had expressed worry and prayed for his son following the incident, TMZ reported.

"He is getting the best medical care and miraculously survived a tragic fall. I ask for your continued prayers as he undergoes rehabilitation, but I would appreciate that this remains a private matter," the rapper said.

Alexis Adams Sues the Apartment Management Following the Accident

On March 27, Alexis Adams has filed a negligence suit against the management of her apartment building in Jersey City, with Pitch Perfect 74 LLC, Goldberg Management, and Carlos Machado named as defendants.

Other unnamed firms, including construction and maintenance, are also listed as defendants, Parade reported.

Adams complained that the window guards in her apartment were the wrong size and that her "repeated written requests for window guards went ignored."

"As a single mom to a special needs child, this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces," said Adams in a statement, adding that she was devastated and angry that her only child had suffered severe injuries because of the landlord and apartment management's willful negligence and failure to take crucial safety measures.

Flo Rida is reportedly not a part of the lawsuit, and his relationship with Adams is unclear. Adams claimed that although the rapper is not involved with their son's life, he provides child support and covers the child's medical insurance.

Flo Rida Previously Denied Zohar Dillard as His Son

In 2018, Alexis Adams told Daily Mail that the rapper has refused to meet his son, who has a rare brain disorder, and has called him an "evil f**king kid."

Flo Rida also denied that Zohar Dillard was his son until a DNA test proved beyond a reasonable doubt that he was, in fact, the boy's biological father.

Flo Rida's real name is Tramar Lacel Dillard, and the new lawsuit gave Zohar's surname as Dillard, but he is also known as Zohar Paxton.

"Flo Rida has only seen his son once during the paternity test but kept his shades on and his back turned," Adams said. "They were in the same room. He didn't try to hug Zohar, nothing. It was very cold."

Adams sued Flo Rida in 2018 because, according to her lawyer, she believed the support was insufficient for a child with special needs despite the rapper paying for his son's medical insurance and an undisclosed monthly child support.
