The Cash App founder murder case has made new revelations with details emerging regarding Bob Lee's death. Lee was stabbed to death in San Francisco last Tuesday, with authorities noting that he died after he was taken to the hospital.

Engadget reported that the Bob Lee murder suspect has been confirmed to be in custody, with sources claiming that the murder case is not a random case of mugging or random murder. Sources claim that the alleged suspect is Nima Momeni.

Momeni is known to be an Emeryville-based owner of the outsourcing firm Expand IT. The Cash App founder reportedly knew Momeni and was a passenger in a car belonging to the suspect.

Lee stepped out of the vehicle after a confrontation allegedly started in the car and continued even after he was outside.

Bob Lee Murder Suspect: Nima Momeni

The Cash App founder murder suspect was confirmed to be Nima Momeni by authorities.

San Francisco police Chief William Scott noted that Momeni previously knew Bob Lee, as reported by ABC News Go.

Scott noted at a briefing on Thursday that Momeni was taken into custody without incident and was transported to San Francisco County jail, wherein the suspect was booked on a charge of murder.

The police chief added that investigators have been "working tirelessly" to put a suspect into their custody.

Meanwhile, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins lauded the arrest efforts made by the San Francisco police. Jenkins said that Lee's killer has now been identified, arrested, and will now be brought to justice.

The mayor of San Francisco, London Breed, earlier said in a statement that the murder was a "horrible tragedy."

It was not immediately known how Lee and Momeni knew each other. Prosecutors are looking to hold Momeni without bail while an arraignment hearing has been set for Friday.

Cash App Founder Murder

Bob Lee was known to his friends as "Crazy Bob" and was the chief product officer at MobileCoin, a cryptocurrency company.

Aside from friends and family, many people working in tech also spoke about the murder of the Cash App founder.

Friends described Lee in interviews with The Washington Post as a "warmhearted and tenacious" entrepreneur aiming to better the world through his financial technology endeavors.

Lee also worked on Android and Google before he helped small businesses with Square and launched Cash App, which has been dubbed as one of the most popular mobile payment apps.

Elon Musk also spoke about Lee's murder and made it an incident of how violence in the city is skyrocketing.

Jenkins slammed Musk's statement and described it as "reckless and irresponsible."

Scott also noted during a press conference that the murder "has nothing to do with San Francisco," but more with "human nature."

The suspect was reported to have been a tech entrepreneur, having previously worked as a tech consultant and attended the University of California, Berkeley.
