Phaedra Parks will be taking some time off of filming "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" as she transitions into raising a family on her own while her husband, Apollo Nida goes to jail for eight years for bank fraud, E! News reports.

"Phaedra is trying to keep everything contained and protect her kids, which is why she's taking time off from the show. She does not want their ordeal shown on TV," says an E! News source.

But while Parks transitions herself into single motherhood, Nida is soaking up his time left in the spotlight.

The E! News source added, " He's [Apollo Nida] been filming a lot. He's been out and about and trying to be seen as much as possible before he goes to jail. Right now, he's not exactly sure when that will be so he's living it up while he can."

Although Parks is taking time off of the show, fans can still expect to see the Georgia peach and her husband on the next season of "RHOA."

TMZ reports that Nida and Parks have been filming together for almost a month now before Nida leaves.

However, when they aren't filming, Nida and Parks are very distant.

"Phaedra and Apollo's marriage is on very shaky ground right now," said the E! News source.

Earlier this month, Nida slammed Parks during his B-100 interview in Atlanta for failing to show up at his jail sentencing.

When asked about whether he feels his marriage will last through his time in jail, Nida simply responded, "I doubt it."

Nida continued, "I mean my wife didn't even f**king show up to my sentencing. I'm still salty about that, but whatever."
