Asian music sensations are becoming better known in the U.S. as several Korean pop groups have been staging mini shows and concerts in select cities in the U.S. almost regularly now. But Japanese groups are crossing the pond as well. Babymetal, a metal vocal and dance group from Japan, has had a series of shows in the U.S. and is slated to make a comeback show as well.

Babymetal is composed of Suzuka Nakamoto (16) as "Su-metal", Yui Mizuno (14) as "Yuimetal" and Moa Kikuchi (14) as "Moametal." The teenagers, managed by the Amuse Talent Agency, describe their music as a fusion of metal instrumentation and elements of J-pop. They all said that they did not even know what metal music was before their group was formed.

Nonetheless, the girls are becoming a hit in America. They've just had a sold-out concert at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on July 27 and were selected to be the front act for five Lady Gaga shows in the United States.

They were with the pop diva for her shows at the U.S. Airways Arena in Phoenix on July 30, the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Aug. 1, Harveys Lake Tahoe on Aug. 2, the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City on Aug. 4 and at the Pepsi Center in Denver on Aug. 6, Loudwire reports.

According to BlabberMouth, the trio will be coming back to the U.S. for a one-off show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Nov. 4. Tickets went on pre-sale on Sept. 4, and regular ticket sales started on Sept. 5.

Babymetal released their first single, "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" (No More Bullying) in Jan. 2013. It was followed by another single, "Megitsune," later in the year. Their self-titled album was released in February 2014, which had reached the No. 1 spot on the Heavy Metal chart for iTunes U.S., Canada and U.K. Their current single is "Gimme Chocolate!!" Several fansites provide translations for the group's Japanese lyrics. "Gimme Chocolate!!" is about a teenage girl who loves chocolates but worries about gaining weight.
