It looks like Justin Timberlake lovers could not wait to get more of The 20/20 Experience. The second part of the album made Timberlake the only artist of 2013 to release two No. 1 albums with such high sales numbers.

Timberlake released The 20/20 Experience: Part 2 of 2 Sept. 30, and it sold 350,000 copies its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album was available either in its standard edition or in a complete edition that included the first part of the album, which was released March 15. Recorded sales for The 20/20 Experience: Part 2 of 2 include sales from both the standard and complete editions.

This is just 28 weeks after the debut of The 20/20 Experience, which enjoyed the best first week of sales the year with 968,000 copies sold.

Nielsen Soundscan started monitoring the Billboard 200 chart in May 1991. Timberlake is just the 20th musician to release two No. 1 albums in 12 months. The last musician to release two No. 1 albums quicker than Timberlake was System of a Down in 2005. The rock band released Mezmerize on June 4 and Hypnotize on Nov. 18. The former debuted with 453,000 copies sold, while the latter sold 320,000 copies its first week.

In addition to this interesting feat, Timberlake also now has spent more time on top of the Billboard 200 list this year than any other artist. The 20/20 Experience put Timberlake on top for three weeks, and now he has enjoyed a fourth week on top with his latest album. Country artist Luke Bryan, who spent three weeks at No. 1, comes in second.

Timberlake's success is especially impressive considering the state of music downloads this year. For a large part of 2013, download sales have been down three percent compared to 2012. Album-download sales have been down six percent compared to last year, Rolling Stone reports.

Sluggish music sales didn't have as powerful an affect on Timberlake fans, however. The JT-lovers were willing to go through the whole experience with Timberlake...even if it took two downloads in one year.
