Before Jenni Rivera's death in 2012, she and husband Esteban Loaiza were about to split. Jenni had accused her husband and her daughter, Chiquis Rivera, of having a relationship, and now, much like Chiquis, Loaiza may use his book to set the record straight.

Loaiza's book, which he said will be published soon, will look at his life and his career as a baseball player, according to TV Notas.

"We had a rapprochement with someone," he said. "We were talking and they will help us. It's a very good book about my baseball career and part of my family."

In 2014, Loaiza planned to sue Starwood Management and Rodatz Financial Group for $35 million, but he decided to withdraw his complaint after Chiquis spoke up.

Loaiza said he has not had any contact with the Riveras. Instead, he has been focusing on his own family. Loaiza and his wife are expecting a child.

Chiquis similarly says that she has no relationship with her former stepfather. In her own book, she talks about how much it has affected her knowing that she was never ever able to speak to her mother about the accusation.

"We don't talk ... no communication at all," she said, according to RPP. "I never had the opportunity to be able to sit with my mother and explain it to her. Every day I wake up with this pain, and I go to sleep with this pain. If it weren't for Johnny and Jennica, I don't know what would be of me."

Chiquis has been taking care of her younger siblings. Although Jenni named her sister, Rosie Rivera, as their caretaker, Chiquis asked to be named their guardian.

Chiquis' book, "Forgiveness," will be released on April 7. It was previously supposed to be released in 2014.
