The six remaining "Nuestra Belleza Latina" participants enjoyed a relaxing few days because none of them faced elimination on Sunday, and maybe that is why "love and peace" reigned this week at the mansion of the Univisión's beauty pageant, the channel noted.

"This eighth gala of 'Nuestra Belleza Latina' seemed to come straight out of a session of the United Nations," Univisión quipped. "The girls let go of the boxing gloves."

What may have helped the all-around harmony is that producers invited friends and family to pay a visit to contestants Nathalia Casco, Catherine Castro, Francisca Lachapel, Clarissa Molina, Geisha Montes De Oca and Mariana Torres. Thus, "the tears of this show were ones of pure joy," the channel added.

In a moving moment, Molina, the 2013 Miss Latina New Jersey USA and 2012 Miss Dominican Republic Tourism International, shared the story of her parents' separation with the audience.

But not everything was talk in the last regular episode ahead of the semi-finals and grand finale, Univisión pointed out: For their challenge, the beauty queens were sent to a prison that at times resembled a haunted house. Some of the scariest moments were captured in a YouTube video.

The ladies "suffered a lot to find all the clues to get out of the prison," producers admitted.

"Orange Is the New Black" actress Selenis Leyva dropped by. Regional Mexican singer Larry Hernández and Mexican singer-songwriter Noel Schajris, meanwhile, were the gentlemen who accompanied the "Nuestra Belleza Latina" beauties on March 22. And just when everything seemed to be pure happiness, the participants were reminded that the show is, in fact, a competition.

This time around, they did not escape the need for a nomination, and the contestants choose Castro for the dubious honor. Nevertheless, the ones who are at immediate risk of elimination are Casco and Montes De Oca, and it will be up to viewers to save their heroines.

To vote for Casco, fans must dial (866) 918 8802, while the number to support Montes De Oca is (866) 918 8801. And for those taking to Twitter, the magic hashtags are #NBLGeishaVoto y #NBLNathaliaVoto.
