Paul Walker's death rattled the emotions of many people around him, especially his daughter, Meadow.

Meadow had a close relationship with her father and it was reflected in the way he talked about her over the years. In a GQ U.K. interview this past August, Walker opened up about his relationship with his daughter.

"She keeps encouraging me to do all this stuff," he said at the time. "I thought at this point in my life I would need to be home with her, but she wants me to keep acting so she can travel around the world with me."

Since Walker died in the car crash over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, social media erupted as people were both surprised and sad to hear the news. Along with this, however, came rumors that his daughter was present during his fateful car crash. Furthermore, fake social media accounts surfaced that were said to belong to Walker's daughter. The longtime actor's representatives took to Facebook to get rid all of these rumors at once.

"It is unfortunate that claims are being made to the media that Paul's daughter Meadow was at the event on Saturday when the accident occurred," Walker's representatives wrote on his Facebook page and confirmed to TODAY. "We want to clarify that Paul went to the event alone. Meadow was not at the charity event on Saturday and thankfully, did not witness the accident. Any claims stating otherwise are inaccurate."

"Sadly, there's also numerous people creating fake social media profiles claiming to be Meadow," the post reads. "We would like everyone to know that Meadow does not currently have any public profiles and is not currently active on social media. We ask that her privacy be respected at this time."

Walker, who was just 40 years old at the time of his death, died from the impact and the fire that resulted from the crash.
