Hope Solo, Team USA's goalkeeper, is trying her hardest to get better -- the soccer star says she is seeing a therapist for the first time in her life to deal with "all of the pain and anger that was inside of me," according to TMZ.

Solo has opened up about her personal issues on her blog. She says she has spent her suspension looking for help from multiple doctors.

Solo was suspended after her husband was arrested for driving the team van under the influence. Solo was reported to be "acting belligerant" during the traffic stop. She asked the police officer, "don't you know who we are?" trying to use her husband, former Seattle Seahawks tight end, Jerramy Stevens' fame to be let go.

The police officer nearly gave Solo a ticket for disorderly conduct because of the way she was acting.

After the incident, Solo was suspended for 30 days.

"I'd been a mess emotionally and mentally, and spent most nights crying with my roommate away from the team," Solo said.

Solo wanted her team to know that during her time away from the team, she was trying to get better. She e-mailed the team and updated them.

"I told them that for the first time in my life, I'd been seeing a therapist and dealing with a lot of my issues, and finally addressing all the pain and anger that was inside of me."

"Twice a week, I also worked with an Eastern medicine healer in Seattle who had incredible experience helping some of the greatest athletes perform at the highest levels. He really helped me see things in a different light."

"I wanted them to know that I hadn't just taken 30 days off. Ultimately, I wanted to be a better person and teammate, and that's what I'd been focused on."

Solo says that her teammates have been supportive of her and they are now focused on the World Cup this summer in Canada.
