PC gamers can indulge in the wide world of Grand Theft Auto V since the new release on Tuesday. Now gamers can experience the amazing worlds of Los Santos and Blaine County on their PC, offered in 4K resolution, according to Rock Star Games.

It also offers gamers customizations that are PC-specific such as 25 separate configurable settings for texture quality, shaders, tessellation and anti-aliasing. The game also comes with mouse and keyboard customizations and extensive support.

This 3D compatible version also has options for plug and play controllers, dual and triple monitor features and a population density slider. You can even use the suite of editing tools to capture game footage and share it with your friends. Additionally, you can transfer your GTA V online characters (as well as their progression) from any platform to your PC.

This new release has already been a hit on Steam. According to an article on PCGamer, the game had set a new record on Steam for a non-Valve game with over 300,000 concurrent users on Wednesday, which was followed in fourth place by Football Manager 2015 at 56,000 users. But in comparison, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive had 529,000 users, and Dota 2 had 780,000 users on Thursday. So they still have a ways to go before they can pick up those numbers.

On a separate article on the PCGamer website, someone has already figured out how to make it work with Oculus Rift. (See the results here.) The VR functionality was enabled by vorpX, which enable you to play it on your OR.

In the same article, game creator Falandorn said, "[He's] not really into missions and all that, just speeding about shooting people and causing carnage is entertainment enough."

In regards to the music on the game, Rolling Stone interviewed Ivan Pavlovich, Rockstar's soundtrack supervisor. He said, "We have 15 radio stations, two talk radio stations, 240 licensed songs, and somewhere in the proximity of 20 movies worth of score. It's the largest soundtrack that we've done, and the largest score that we've done."
