The 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards are happening on Sunday.

The much anticipated awards program, which will be held and filmed at the Nokia Theatre L.A., will be hosted by 18-year-old Disney alum Zendaya.

Though the young singer and actress has done everything from Shakespeare to modeling Old Navy ads, this hosting gig will be a relatively new experience for the California native.

Recently speaking to Billboard, the “Shake It Up” star talked about the build-up to her hosting duties, saying: "It's been really cool going from my first year being there to present, to the second year performing and now my third year hosting. I'm 100 percent down with it."

Being a Disney event, the show is obviously intended to cross generations.

"This is an event for many kinds of people to enjoy together -- adults, kids -- I want them to feel like they are all part of the production," explains the star.

In an attempt to concentrate on her ceremonial tasks, Zendaya has chosen not to perform this year, saying, "I'll be so focused on hosting, I didn't want too many jobs and too much stress. I want to be able to relax and have fun with it."

Her hands will be full, she asserts, engaging in "as many wardrobe changes as possible."

This year's Radio Disney Music Awards will include performances by artists such as Nick Jonas, Becky G, R5, Fifth Harmony, Natalie La Rose, Sabrina Carpenter, Shawn Mendes, Sheppard, Tori Kelly and Rachel Platten.

The show will also take time to honor singer Jennifer Lopez with the Hero Award for her work with children's organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the star's own Lopez Family Foundation.

You can watch the full show Sunday, April 26 on the Disney Channel at 8/7c.
